My needs for an EDC flashlight are very different from most people. I need something with an extra-wide beam and the SOS feature also. The beam width needed to be enough for 4 people to walk within it while carrying instruments, music stands and sheet music. I am the only one with a free hand to hold the light. We can all walk from the house to the car without tripping over little steps and making lots of quick turns to stay on the winding path from the condo to the car. No other light we tried allowed this. Also when walking in our area we need some type of blinking light in order for cars to see us. Even though the blinking is a SOS sign I doubt drivers would ever think it was that. This flashlight is so perfect for us.
