Best Tactical Flashlight Klarus XT11X 3200 Lumens
When Klarus first announced the Klarus XT11X, we were blown away. A compact tactical flashlight that delivered 3200 lumens seemed too good to be true, but Klarus made it happen. The XT11X is the ultimate tactical flashlight that's powerful, practical, and extremely fun to use. Today, we're going to talk about the features of the XT11X flashlight and what makes it such a great light to have.
3200 Lumen Tactical Flashlight
The XT11X tactical flashlight features a CREE XHP70.2 P2 LED and delivers up to 3200 lumens. It's important to know that the XT11X features a deep orange peel reflector so you're going to get a wide and diffused beam with this flashlight. It's not much of a thrower and has a maximum distance of 283 meters so it's really going to illuminate the area around you very nicely and you'll still be able to see pretty far into the distance with it.
The XT11X is quite compact and fits comfortably in your hands. You can clip it onto your belt using the handy removable pocket clip or, you can carry it using the included holster. It's a little too big to consider it an everyday carry flashlight, but that doesn't mean you couldn't carry it everyday, especially if you needed it for a job. That's what the pocket clip and the holster for. If you're wanting a flashlight for home security, law enforcement, military use, or even for outdoor use, the XT11X is a superb flashlight.
LED Flashlight with Robust User Interface
One of the great things about the Klarus XT11X is that it's incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of situations. The XT11X is also built to operate however you want to operate it. It features a triple switch design - a side switch and two tail switches. The dual tail switches are great for tactical use and give you access to a momentary on, a One-Touch Turbo, as well as a One-Touch Strobe or a One-Touch Low. The side switch gives you access to a built-in memory function as well as a One-Touch Low. These switches operate independently so you can choose whether you'd like to operate the flashlight via the side switch or if you'd like to use the dual tail switches. You're also able to lock out these switches to prevent any accidental illumination.
Tactical Flashlight with Multiple Outputs
The Klarus XT11X is built with power in mind, but it also features multiple outputs so that you're prepared for anything. With this tactical flashlight, you have six total outputs and this includes four brightness levels and two flashing modes. The brightness levels range from 15 lumens to 3200 lumens giving you a wide range of brightness levels to choose from. In close quarters or to conserve battery, you may prefer to use the lower brightness levels. You won't always need the full 3200 lumens so it's great to have options. You also have the strobe mode and the SOS mode to give you peace of mind and know that you're prepared for any situation. These modes are great for emergencies and are just great features to have in a tactical flashlight.
Tactical Flashlight with Programmable Settings
To add to its versatility, the Klarus XT11X tactical flashlight features two programmable settings that you can easily switch to whenever you'd like. The settings only affect the dual tail switches so the side switch will remain the same no matter which setting you have the XT11X in. The default setting is the Tactical Setting and in this setting the main tail switch will give you a momentary-on and a One-Touch Turbo while the secondary switch will give you a One-Touch Strobe. You’ll also only be able to cycle through three of the brightness levels using the tail switches. This is a great setting for anyone in law enforcement or security or anyone who would just like to have immediate access to that strobe mode in case of emergencies.
The other programmable setting is the Outdoor Setting and in this setting the main tail switch gives you access to a momentary-on and a One-Touch Turbo while the secondary switch gives you access to a One-Touch Low. You can also cycle through all four brightness levels using the tail switches in the Outdoor Setting. This setting is great if you really want the One-Touch Low using that secondary tail switch. It's a great setting for camping, hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. It's also great to use around the house so that you always have access to the One-Touch Low using the tail switches.
USB Rechargeable Flashlight
As if the XT11X didn't have enough features, it's also a USB rechargeable tactical flashlight making it extremely convenient to charge the batteries. It features a micro USB port that is located on the side so that you can charge the flashlight while working on the computer or driving around doing errands. It features an Intelligent Charging System that monitors the charging status, prevent overcharging, and limits the maximum charging current to 1A which will ensure safe charging. You can monitor the charging status as well by looking at the charging indicator located on the side switch. While the flashlight is charging you'll see the indicator glow red and it will glow green when it's finished. You may see the indicator flash yellow and this means that there's something interfering with the charging function. This could be anything from a little bit of dirt in the micro USB port to a faulty cable. With the XT11X you don't need to worry about purchasing any extra battery chargers or having backup batteries. However, we do recommend battery charger so if you're interested in looking at battery chargers you can shop for them here.
The XT11X runs on an 18650 battery and Klarus does include that with the flashlight. However, you can also equip the XT11X with two CR123A batteries or two Klarus 16340 batteries, giving you a few different options on what you'd like to power your flashlight with. The charging indicator also doubles as a battery capacity indicator and it will glow for a few seconds whenever you first turn the flashlight on. Depending on what color you see, it'll give you a good idea of how much charge your battery has left allowing you to better plan the usage of the flashlight. The charging indicator only works on 18650 batteries so that’s something to keep in mind.
Klarus has made sure that you can operate the XT11X exactly how you want to. You have options in which switches you prefer to use, which programmable setting you would prefer the flashlight in, which brightness levels you'd like to use, and even which batteries you would prefer to use. It's truly a very versatile tactical flashlight.
