Needed a low cost light on one AAA. Since LEDs are 3 V technology most lights had multiple batteries or were high priced tact lights $$$. This is a one AAA with a good light output. A bit larger than a AAA Mini Mag to house the circuity but it has a longer on light time. Light pattern is a narrow pin point. Strong and light enough to carry everyday.

Compact, fits in your shirt pocket without a problem. Light weight, easy to carry in shirt pocket.
Always available for when you need just a bit of light to find those dropped car keys, etc.
Doesn't blind you with too much light. Great for that trip to the motel bathroom without waking the wife or blinding myself.
It is my choice for minimal lighting. I also carry it at work in the Sheriff's Department.
