It is reliable and easy to use. Period. I had purchased a very inexpensive but popular Chinese charger and waited as it slowly made it's journey to mid America. You can imagine my disappointment when it quit on me the second time I used it. The Pila arrived promptly after ordering an has been churning out perfectly charged cells from different manufacturers ever since. There is no substitute for quality, reliability and ease of use. The only thing that keeps this item from 5 stars was one of the spacers would not unscrew from the charger because the center stud had become disconnected from the plastic knob. I had to exchange units. Other than that, it's perfect. Flashlightz handled the exchange very quickly

For the price it's as good as you can get. Rated a high standards from myself as well as from other reviews. The charger is stamped certified by CE and the AC adapter is stamped certified by Intertek ETL and conforms UL standards. Very good quality construction. Beefier build than other [*] Plastic spacers have metal cores inside which "screws" into the adapter. Works with variety sizes of Li-ion batteries - Pila specifically states to only use their brand batteries to charge! Clear cover has dual-spring action but recommend charging with cover in open position to prevent over heating of device. Most charges take approx. 3.5-4 hours. Although it is a little pricey, I would still recommend this purchase.

After using other chargers with my 14500 lithium rechargeables, I got consistently unreliable behavior of the "Charging" and "Done" LEDs. The Pila charger does not have this problem.

Very good charger. I use it to charge my 18650 rechargeable batteries. Will be getting rc123 batteries soon and this will charge them. Very satisfied so far.
