This versatile LED lantern does not need batteries and doubles as a standard flashlight. The crank handle conveniently folds away and nests into the flashlight body. 1 minute of cranking provides approximately 30 minutes of bright light. Light can be used as a lantern or a flashlight. One minute crank gives you 30 minutes of light. Not very bright, but ok. I will mainly use this for power outages.

I purchased 5 of these after a recent ice storm that caused us to lose power in our home. Everytime this happens the local stores are out of flashlights and batteries. The light is easy to crank and is perfect for getting around the house or lighting a small area such as a table top when used as a lantern. It is a little brighter when in flashlight mode. Easily shines down a long hallway. It is WAY better than the shake-lights I have used in the past. I would buy again.
