After experiencing a 9-hour power outage and needing to go up/down interior flights of stairs, I concluded that the old 6" magnalites that I had, just didn't do the job. The LED flashlights of a similar size are going to do the job much better.

I bought this light hoping for a small inexpensive light that was bright. I'm a plains clothes Detective, and I wanted a small light to carry with me in my pocket. The pocket clip works great. The only thing bad about this light is the brightness, I doubt its 180 lumens.

Best torch for price and quality.
The front cap DOES SWITCH (just force it with a couple of pliers to remove the glue) and provides a wonderful a candela effect. (works only on 140/180 lumens type, not on the new rebel 220)

The description is incorrect on these items:
The package states "3 watts, up to 140 lumens".
It is not twist-on. The switch is on the tail cap.
A light press turns it on momentarily. A hard press clicks it on constant.
The beam is not adujustable. The head does not twist. It is machined solid as one piece.

Belt pouch with velcro flap
Pocket clip
Lanyard loop
Very bright even beam. As bright if not brighter than a 3 cell Maglite.
The beam is white not blue tinted like cheaper led lights.
6" long 1" diameter at lenses Weight 5.1 oz. w/batteries
For comparson the Mini-Maglight is 5-3/4" long 1" at lenses and weighes 3.7 oz.w/batteries.
The Terralux is made from much thicker aluminum.
Machined area on head prevents rolling on a flat surface.
Only the the rear cap(sealed with an o-ring) containing the rubber covered switch unscrews for battery replacement. Appears to be very water resistant.
This light seems to be the best value in it's class. If I manage to destroy this one I will get another.
Delivery was fast.
