These flashlights are made from aircraft-grade aluminum, black anodized for pleasing aesthetics. The lens is made from a very solid tempered glass that feels extremely solid (compared to the thin feel when you tap on a lower quality flashlight). This flashlight system was designed so that many of the parts are interchangeable with other functionally different parts. This flashlight comes with a tactical pushbutton tailcap. Comments about Pila Pila GL2 6V Cree Q5 LED Flashlight with Tactical Tailcap:

I use high power flashlights for mechanical inspections of machines in dim environments.
The pattern is a bit wide for my purposes, but someone that needs to search 50 feet out may find it suitable. It does not feel like 250 lumens to me - perhaps because of the spread. The color is yellowish and the useful illumination is about gone in way less than 2 hours.

Comments about Pila Pila GL2 6V Cree Q5 LED Flashlight with Tactical Tailcap:

My husband works nights. He needed a compact, BRIGHT durable flashlight. This small flashlight is so bright, it will stop you in your tracks if shone in your eyes! Needless to say, it was one of his favorite Christmas presents this year! I was a little unsure of spending over [$] on a flashlight, however it is well worth the price. We have probably spent more then that on numerous flashlights trying to get one that is bright enough, and will hold up to daily use. We finally found the perfect one!

Pila took the rock-solid design for the GL2 and added a very powerful Cree Q5 LED to the mix. Very compact and has a very bright output with a long throw.
