These flashlights are made from aircraft-grade aluminum, black anodized for pleasing aesthetics. The lens is made from a very solid tempered glass that feels extremely solid (compared to the thin feel when you tap on a lower quality flashlight). All Pila models product a very bright and evenly distributed light. The Pila Flashlight System The beauty of the Pila design are the modular upgrades. This flashlight system was designed so that many of the parts are interchangeable with other functionally different parts. The Pila Gl4 is without a doubt the brightest light that I own. It's not the most economical to run, but for the initial purchase price it's quite a deal. The GL4 provides more light for the size than anything else that I may ever carry! It will be a great comfort to have this light with me in the Withlacoochee Swamp this year. The biggest drawback that I have found after testing the light on the golf course with no ambient light is; when turning the light on, the LED tail cap goes on and it is blinding in utter darkness. Kiss your night vision good bye. The tactical switch should be the first option of this light and the LED tailcap should only be provided to someone that has a specific need for it. I look forward to using this light in Green Swamp this year; however it wil have the tactical switch on it by then.

Great light, I thought this was the brightest until I bought the blinding TerraLUX 600 Lumen Upgrade for my Mag Light! Boy was I wrong!
