These flashlights are made from aircraft-grade aluminum, black anodized for pleasing aesthetics. The lens is made from a very solid tempered glass that feels extremely solid (compared to the thin feel when you tap on a lower quality flashlight). All Pila models product a very bright and evenly distributed light. The Pila Flashlight System The beauty of the Pila design are the modular upgrades. This flashlight system was designed so that many of the parts are interchangeable with other functionally different parts. This flashlight comes with an LED tailcap which is perfect when you are reading maps, or looking at things close-up and don't want to consume a lot of battery power.
