I was promptly shipped another Pelican 8060 to replace the one that stopped working after I dropped it. I really like this light.(The C- battery option is a bonus)

Comments about Pelican Pelican 8060 LED Tactical Flashlight:

I liked the looks of the flashlight and the powerful beam. The only thing I disliked was when I dropped it from about 3ft onto pavement the light stopped working. The only visible damage was a slight nick near the switch. I returned it and I'm waiting for a response. If I recieve a full refund I probably will buy another assuming that the damage was a fluke and not a common occurrence with Pelican products.

As a police officer I was looking to replace my rechargable Mag-Lite. I have a Streamlight LED stinger and wanted a full sized LED flashlight to complement it. I was very impressed and it has become my go to flashlight. Even the other guys like it.

big heavy, but BRIGHT. Rated at 190 LUMS, but MUTCH brighter than my INOVA T5, which is rated at 200 LUMS. The INOVA is smaller, mutch lighter, well-built, and, I suspect will be in my pocket more. The Pelican is tough, clunky, but very well made.

Comments about Pelican Pelican 8060 LED Tactical Flashlight:

This flashlight is very bright. It is brighter than the Ultimate Stinger and has a whiter light.
It is comfortable in the hand but it is long and a little heavy. It will stay in your back pocket pretty well if you have cargo style pants. I am a polce officer and I work with a K9 so I am outside in the dark and in the woods all the time so the long run time 6 hrs. was a big factor for me. The new brighter Lithium style flashlights are great but not too convenient for my type of work. Because you use it so much and you need it immediately the rechargeable cradle is a must. You don't have time to put rechargeable battteries in and out of the flashlight.
The flashlight is a bit pricey but so far I am very pleased and would recommend this light to anyone - especially law enforcement or someone who uses a light alot.

I am a volunteer with my local Police Department. I bought this flashlight for night patrol. However, I use it at home as well. Wow, what a light! You will never need another one again. This is so impressive; I want one for my car too. It lights up a room and it will light up your back yard. Very impressive. You will NOT be disappointed. Money well spent.

So far, so good. My wife and I are both in law enforcement and have used many lights over the years (for me 32) and we like this one the best. It is a good size for tucking under your arm to hold it, and the design does not allow it to slip. The switch is dependable and sure. As for the light itself? Well, how does clear, bright and sharp sound! It provides excellent illumination and for law enforcement, it is a must!
