(based on 5 ratings)
Brand: Pelican
Located in: Flashlights
We've taken our popular 2600 and outfitted it with our Recoil LED module. What you get is a hands-free light that's extremely powerful, durable, and efficient. The 2680 uses a 1 watt LED that's aimed backwards into the reflector. 100% of the light is captured and aimed forward as a tight collimated beam that's as bright as an incandescent. The body is made of tough ABS resin that's corrosion proof, submersible to 500 feet, and virtually indestructible. It is powered by 4 AA alkaline cells (included) and comes with a rubber strap for hard hat use and an adjustable cloth strap for bare head. Features: • 1 watt Recoil LED module • Made of tough ABS resin • Submersible to 500 feet • Virtually indestructible • 4 AA alkaline cells (included)

Use for winter construction when days are short. Very bright and concentrated beam. Good "made in the USA" brand. Only major con is the weight as the batteries are in front.

Comments about Pelican Pelican HeadsUp Lite™ 2680 Recoil LED™:

The light was tough in the sense that it coud be knocked around and survive. However, i bought the light on the promise it would survive being submerged during a scuba dive, and it didnt. The light flooded at a depth of about ten feet, and the salt water dissolved the reflective backing off the inside of the light, ruining it forever. Absolutely unacceptable as a diving light or even a backup diving light.
