This is my second Olight, so there must be something here. Wanted an AA battery light, AA's being so very common - you can take them out of something else if it becomes necessary. The fairly diffuse beam pattern gives a wide lighted field, and the slightly warm light emitted produces less diffraction in foliage and thus easier viewing. This is a good all around AA battery light.
