This is the best, most reliable flashlight ever. For many years, I've been in search of a flashlight that has a reliable on/off mechanism. I probably bought 20 flashlights for our family of five. Most flashlights stop working within a year due to faulty on/off mechanisms. This Garrity is ideal. I'm going to buy a bunch for the holidays and give them away.

I have had this flashlight for about 18-24 months in my car. I might get another one to keep inside my house. I like the anti-roll tab which keeps the flashlight from rolling around on flat surfaces. The switch has always worked and this flashlight is well made and has a good beam pattern for the cost. I prefer a silver color so that if I drop it in the grass at night, it is easier to find than a black colored flashlight. For the price, this is a very good flashlight.

After tolerating several generations of cheaper flashlights, I bought 4 of these for use in our manufacturing clean room of the electronics company I work for. We needed purity, reliability and brightness (did I say purity?) for working in equipment racks or just hunting for the dropped nut, washer or whatever. I can hardly keep them around. When anyone needs a flashlight, they grab one of these. I need to buy another half-dozen or so.

I have one in the hall in the front room, one on the kitchen closet doorknob, one in the hall by the bedroom. I like their anti-roll feature, the ease of turning on, ruggedness and dependability, and the attached cord which makes them easy to hang on a doorknob. I own four (or five) of them and am considering them as gifts.
