Bottom Line:

This lantern looked good but I followed all directions and charged it on the plug for 10 hours. It absolutely would not hold a charge for more than 4 seconds no matter what I did. Cranking allowed it to shine brightly while cranking and 2 seconds after. Perhaps I had a bad lantern but I will be returning this immediately.

Great LED Lantern
By oldsuperdave from TX on 5/1/2008

Adjustable Beam, Easy On/Off, Ergonomic Design, Luminescent
Best Uses:

Primary use:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is one of the few LED lanterns that can use A/C as well as crank to recharge. After 6 months and several full discharges, it still puts out at least 1 hour longer than advertised. And I really like the fully charged indicator. Goodbye propane lanterns. I bought it for camping, but it's very handy for power outages.
