This was Fenix's first forray into the "tactical" flashlight scene and they hit the nail on the head. The TK1 offers great beam "throw", meets advertised runtimes, and is rugged enough for law enforcement/EMT/military use.

I've owned one since they were first introduced and mine's been: dropped from 5'+ (too many time to count), accidently kicked, spent some time in the Gulf of Mexico after my wife dropped it into the ocean (it continued to work underwater), and got packed full of mud when I used it to address splumbing issues under the house. I've bought them for friends working in law enforcement, as a first responder, and a repo man--all have offered high praise for the flashlight.

The only downsides to the TK1 design are the pocket clip placement and its weight. Considering how well made the light is, I don't consider the weight much of a problem. The clip placement doesn't allow the TK1 to sit deep enough in the pocket to prevent it from coming out--I got around this by not using it and simply slipping it into my pocket.

I'm a police officer who works night shift. I have one of these because I was looking for the light that covers everything in a secondary light: Bright, led, rugged, easy to use, and compact. I found all those in this light. This light will light up any scene. My peers liked it so much that some of them use it as a primary light. It's so well designed that I put my surefire's away for this one

Im an Aircraft Maintenace Tech, I like the Fenix T1 cause its small and powerful light, its good for tight spaces in the fuselage and avionics bay. And great for inspections! Very all around usefull light, on and off the Job.

I use this flashlight for general use on jobs and at home. It's solid and very bright. I had a Surefire 9AN Commander flashlight that I spent [$] for, but I returned it due to bad battery life. This flashlight blows that one away. Not only is it brighter, smaller, the batteries last longer, and it costs 1/3 the price. I love it. About the only potentially bad thing I can say about it is that the shaft could be a little more textured so that it's not as slippery. Other than that, it's perfect. You can also clip it to your baseball cap for hands-free operation. I bought one for each of my employees. Everyone should have one.

I bought several Pilas flash lights for twice the amount at the same time and For tthe Price, Size, Battery life, and not the LEAST OF WITCH THE BRIGHTNESS.. THIS IS THE LIGHT TO BUY!
