Bought for a fellow who has hundreds of flashlights ( seriously) this was a big hit. Adjustable beam , the placement of off/on switch is helpful not to waste battery life.
Comments about Duracell Duracell 2xCR123 Spot-to-Flood Daylite LED Flashlight:
For the second time, in about 6 weeks, 1 out of 3 flashlights I ordered had dead batteries out of the box.
Fresh batteries established a working flashlight.
Quality control needs improved.
Comments about Duracell Duracell 2xCR123 Spot-to-Flood Daylite LED Flashlight:
I really like the small size and the amount of light this thing puts out. I use it to inspect the dark insides of computers and the dark recesses of our office and it's just perfect. It is an especially good value, much cheaper and as bright as my previous lights.
The delivery time was good for here (O'ahu). I had no problems with it and had no need to contact customer service.
Comments about Duracell Duracell 2xCR123 Spot-to-Flood Daylite LED Flashlight:
the CR123 is so much more powerful than the other two daylites - the AA and the AAA, i don't know why anybody would buy anything else.the CR123 is double the lumens. the batteries are more expensive and harder to get, that's a significant downside, but we are seniors and need the extra power when we walk puppies. also the on/off button in the back is hard to push. could use improvement. it's hard to push, besides that we really like the diminutive size and all for portability. they're very hard to find, not easily available either retail or internet, i hope they will be easier to come by soon.

Comments about Duracell Duracell 2xCR123 Spot-to-Flood Daylite LED Flashlight:
#1 feature- The eveness of the light as well as the amazing brightness from such a small unit! Love it. I will most likely start buying a few more to substitute all my big mag lights. Unless you need to carry a 3-5 cell light to wack a bad guy now and then get this little gem.

Comments about Duracell Duracell 2xCR123 Spot-to-Flood Daylite LED Flashlight:
I have a cheap Integrating Sphere that is far from perfect but to its credit it has been tested and calibrated against standards that are traceable back to NIST. As soon as the Daylite arrived it went into the IS for a test of output and runtime. I was very disappointed to see a peak of just 100 lumens at time zero with LED at room temperature, against the mfg. claim of 160. It was down to 80 lumens within one minute. It continuted to drop slowly and steadily to finally bottom out at 60 lumens at about 30 minutes. It dropped out of regulation right at the 2 hour mark, and at three hours it was down to 10 lumens.
Another problem is that the beam is very ringy, out in the periphery of the spillbeam. True when focused both wide and tight.
Beam throw on tight focus is reasonable but there's still plenty of divergence in the beam. In other words, it's illuminating a pretty wide area by the time you get out 50' -100'.
On wide focus, I expected it to be a lot wider. Wide isn't really very wide. Also, it retains a hotter center with a gradual tapering into the spillbeam, where I expected wide focus to be more even across the pattern. Changing from tight focus to wide focus is kind of like adding a diffuser lens to a conventional non-focusable flashlight.
Great service and very prompt delivery from Flashlightz.com! Would highly recommend them!
